Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really happening.
